Estimation of Heritability and Genetic Advance in Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

An experiment was conducted to estimate the genetic variability, heritability and advance in 100 wheat genotypes including ten parents 45 F1 F2 for obtained through half diallel mating design pea during 2021-22 at Oil Seed Farm, Kalyanpur, C.S. Azad University of Agriculture Technology, Kanpur-208002 (U.P.) Quantitative analysis were carried out all parameters which are directly or indirectly associated with yield contributing traits. Analysis variance showed significant variability studied characters parents. In observed traits except spike length, number grains per protein content reflecting considerable amount heterotic response these attributes. High both generations.
